MEET THE TEAM

Lynne – House Manager
Lynne grew up in Manchester and spent most of her working life in hospitality including 10 years working for Greater Manchester Police. After moving to Northwich in 2000, she was involved in running a pub business alongside her own outside catering business.
After a couple of years of running her own catering operation, Lynne decided that she wanted a more steady and regular working schedule and signed up with an agency with a view to finding a more permanent position in events.
Lynne arrived at the Abbey in November of 2003 to cover maternity leave and fitted in well. When the maternity leave ended, she was taken on permanently and within six months was planning her own maternity leave! Shortly after coming back from giving birth, another pregnancy followed!
For the next 18 or so years, Lynne was part of the events team looking after the administration side of things. Today, not only is she still here but the two children she gave birth to whilst she was here are also part of the Abbey team! Her two youngest children are now grown up and work in a front of house capacity following in her hospitality footsteps (for now anyway!).
Lynne’s role within the company has changed a little following Covid and now as House Manager she is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and Health and Safely issues within the club. Lynne’s ultimate aim within the club is to make sure that the housekeeping side is of the highest standard whilst providing a clean, welcoming and safe environment for both work and pleasure.
